A volunteer education and solidarity initiative

No child should be left out of learning

There are children who want to learn but have no teacher, no books, no computer. We introduce them to volunteers who teach for free. People who don’t want to stand by help families with books, devices and their time.

Why we started

Each of us knows children who want to learn but cannot find a teacher, have no books or computer at home, or have fallen behind for some reason. We did not want to see that and stay silent.

We are not tied to any party, organisation or movement, and nobody makes money from this. What we do is simple: we introduce a teacher who wants to teach to a child who wants to learn. People who do not want to stand by help families with books, a computer or their time.

Subjects we help with

We look for a teacher by the student’s grade, subject and language of learning. We are all volunteers, so there may not always be a teacher for every subject. Your request then stays open and is shown to new teachers as soon as they join.

Becoming a volunteer teacher

You might be a teacher, a university student or someone who works in their field. What matters is that you know your subject well and are patient with children.

How it works:

  • You choose your subject, grades and teaching language.
  • You mark your free times on a weekly grid.
  • Requests that suit you appear at the top of the list.
  • The child’s name and the family’s contact details are shown only after you accept a request.

Your profile appears on the site after a coordinator has checked it. You can also upload your diploma if you wish.

How lessons start

How it works
  1. Create an account

Sign up as a parent or a teacher and confirm your e-mail address.

  2. Request or profile

The parent writes the subject, grade and suitable times. The teacher fills in their profile.

  3. A teacher is found

We show you teachers who fit, and you can choose one. Contact details open once the teacher accepts.

  4. Lessons

The teacher suggests a time and you confirm it. Homework and the teacher’s notes stay in your account.

Frequently asked questions

Are the lessons really free?

Yes. Teachers are volunteers and nobody pays for lessons.

Who can apply?

For students in grades 1–11, a parent or legal guardian submits the request. Learners aged 18 or over can apply themselves.

Are teachers checked?

A coordinator checks every teacher profile; profiles that have not been approved are not shown. Teachers can upload their diploma, and if it has been checked, their profile says so. We recommend that you stay with your child during the first lessons.

Are lessons online or in person?

Both are possible. You choose the format in your request and agree the time with the teacher.

Who can see my personal information?

The student’s name is never shown publicly. E-mail and phone are shared only after both sides agree.
